Netball Specialist Program

CGS students in Years 7-10 have the opportunity to apply to the Netball Specialist Programme.

The program is available to both male and female students across Years 7-10. Students are provided with opportunities to train and play organised matches throughout the school year.

Age groups

Year 7 to Year 10 students can apply for the programme.

Training commitment

Years 7-9 include two timetabled classes and one before-school session. Year 10 includes three timetabled classes.

Scholarships

Limited scholarships are offered for the Netball Specialist Programme. Normal scholarship criteria applies and selection is based on attending Netball trials.

How to apply

Students must have completed enrolment and be confirmed before applying. When applications open via the website, students can register their interest.

Students in Year 7 and Year 8 are restricted to choosing one specialist sport, for example AFLW or Netball. Students in Year 9 and Year 10 have the flexibility to choose two specialist sports across Basketball, Netball and AFLW.

Who will run the program?

The program will be overseen by PE Specialist staff in Netball and assisted by Level 2 Accredited coaches who are currently employed by the school.
