Scholarships & Bursaries

Court Grammar School reconganises the outstanding achievements of student throughout their school and offer a range of Scholarships and Bursaries to students who display talent in a variety of areas including Academia, Arts, Sports, Music and Indigenous students. 

Each Scholarship and Bursary is awarded based on individual criteria.

All Scholarship holders are expected to display an ongoing commitment to their studies and have an active and ongoing interest in the life of the School.

Scholarships and bursaries are awarded at the discretion of the Principal and are subject to ongoing assessment and review of achievement and attitude to learning. Results of scholarship and bursary testing and/or interviews remain the property of the School and no dispute will be entered into.

Note: Total discounts including sibling discounts, scholarships and bursaries are capped at 50% unless stated otherwise.

Court Grammar Academic Scholarship (Year 7)

The CGS Academic Scholarship is open to current or future students who demonstrate a high level of Academic achievement.

Recipients of this Scholarship are expected to maintain a high level of academic achievement while holding this Scholarship.

The value of the scholarship is up to 50% reduction on tution fees and is reviewed annually.


New Students Academic Scholarship (Year 10-Year 12)

The CGS New students Academic Scholarship is open to any future students entering from Years 10 – Year 12 who demonstrate a high level of Academic achievement.

Recipients of this Scholarship are expected to maintain a high level of academic achievement while holding this

The value of the scholarship is up to 50% reduction on tution fees and is reviewed annually.

All Academic Scholarships applicants will be required to sit an Academic test which is provided by a National testing body (ACER). The test is not based on the School Curriculum or the ability to retrieve learned information. Instead it is designed so that applicants are required to demonstrate skills in areas such as the ability to interpret, infer, deduce and think critically.

There is an application fee of $100 per student for the Academic test.

Arts Academy Scholarship (Year 5, Year 7 and Year 10)

The CGS Arts Academy Scholarships are open to current or future students entering Year 5, Year 7 and Year 10 who demonstrate high ability in the area of technical skill and an inherent interest in developing through the Arts.

Our Arts Academy Scholarships are awarded in two catergories:

Musical Theatre
Visual & Digitial Arts.

The value of the scholarship is up to 50% reduction on tution fees and is reviewed annually.

A Category Scholarship = 50% discount on School tuition Fees only
B Category Scholarship = 25% discount on School tuition Fees only
C Category Scholarship = Part of Academy/Specialist program with no financial discount on School tuition Fees

Primary School Student Music Scholarship (Year 5)

The Primary Student Music Scholarship is open to current or future students entering Year 5 who demonstrate potential and a desire to learn an instrument through our Music Instrumental program.

The value of the scholarship is 100% reduction of Music tutition fees and is for the duration of the student’s attendance in Primary School, and ongoing commitment to the Music Program.

Nijole Natalija Weedon Bursary Indigenous students (Year 7 – Year 12)

This bursary is open to any future students entering Court Grammar School during their Secondary schooling years (Year 7-Year 12) who would normally not financially be able to attend the School.

This provides up to $5000 fee assistance for School Tuition fees per year. The continuation of this bursary is subject to acceptable academic achievement and positive contribution to the ethos of the School and is reviewed on an annual basis at the discretion of the Principal.

Applicants and their family will be required to have an interview with the School Principal as part of the application process.

This bursary is offered to one (1) student for the duration of their secondary schooling and is not available to any other student until such time as the recipient graduates or leaves the School. This Bursary will be available for the beginning of 2027.

Sports Scholarship – AFL/W Academy, Netball and Basketball Specialist Programs (Year 7 and Year 10)

The CGS Sports Scholarships are open to current or future students entering Year 7 and Year 10 who demonstrate high ability and a positive attitude within the AFL/W Academy, Netball Specialist Program and Basketball Specialist Programs.

The value of the scholarship is up to 50% reduction on tution fees and is for the duaration of 2 years from the scholarship commencement. Performance within these programs are reviewed on an annual basis and Scholarship recipients are expected to continue to display high ability and maintain a positive attitdue within the programs.
