Academic Scholarships

Court Grammar Academic Scholarship (Year 7 and Year 10)

The CGS Academic Scholarship is open to current or future students entering Year 7 or Year 10 who demonstrate a high level of academic achievement.

Recipients are expected to maintain high academic achievement and contribute positively to the life of the School.

New Students Academic Scholarship (Year 10 to Year 12)

This scholarship is open to future students entering Years 10 to 12 who demonstrate a high level of academic achievement.

Academic Scholarship applicants are required to sit the ACER test. The test is not curriculum-based and is designed to demonstrate interpretation, inference, deduction and critical thinking.

Frank Ledger Academic Scholarship

Frank Ledger Academic Scholarship (Year 7 to Year 12)

This scholarship is open to current or future students entering Years 7 to 12 who demonstrate high academic achievement.

It provides fee assistance for School tuition fees, subject to acceptable academic achievement and a positive contribution to the School ethos. The scholarship is reviewed annually at the Principal’s discretion.

Applicants are required to sit the ACER test and pay the application fee.

Arts Academy Scholarships – Now Closed

Arts Academy Scholarship (Year 5, Year 7 and Year 9)

This scholarship is open to current or future students entering Years 5, 7 or 9 who display high ability, technical skill and interest in the Arts.

  • Category A: 50% reduction of tuition fees.
  • Category B: 25% reduction of tuition fees.
  • Category C: Part of the Academy or Specialist Program with no financial discount.

Selection is based on audition or interview, plus portfolio evidence where applicable.

Ken and Lorraine Court Music Scholarship

Primary School Student Music Scholarship (Year 5)

This scholarship is open to current or future Year 5 students who demonstrate potential and a strong desire to learn an instrument through the Music Instrumental Program.

Recipients are expected to participate in music ensembles and performances as part of the School’s music program.

Nijole Natalija Weedon Bursary

Nijole Natalija Weedon Bursary for Indigenous Students (Year 7 to Year 12)

This bursary is offered to one student for the duration of their secondary schooling and is available beginning in 2027.

Sports Scholarships – Closing 8 May

Sports Scholarship: AFL/W Academy, Netball Specialist Program and Basketball Specialist Program (Year 7 and Year 9)

This scholarship is open to current or future Year 7 and Year 9 students who demonstrate high ability and a positive attitude in the AFL/W Academy, Netball Specialist Program or Basketball Specialist Program.

Scholarships may provide up to a 50% tuition fee reduction for two years, reviewed annually. Recipients are expected to maintain their ability, commitment and positive attitude.

  • Category A: 50% reduction of tuition fees.
  • Category B: 25% reduction of tuition fees.
  • Category C: Part of the Academy or Specialist Program with no financial discount.

Court Grammar School recognises the outstanding achievements of students throughout their schooling and offers a range of Scholarships and Bursaries to students who display talent in a variety of areas including academia, arts, sports, music and Indigenous students.

Each Scholarship and Bursary is awarded based on individual criteria.

All Scholarship holders are expected to display an ongoing commitment to their studies and have an active and ongoing interest in the life of the School.

Scholarships and bursaries are awarded at the discretion of the Principal and are subject to ongoing assessment and review of achievement and attitude to learning. Results of scholarship and bursary testing and/or interviews remain the property of the School and no dispute will be entered into.

Note: Total discounts including sibling discounts, scholarships and bursaries are capped at 50% unless stated otherwise.
